Lahori Fried Fish


LAHORI FRIED FISH




Lahori fish recipe is famous for its distinct spicy taste. It is very easy to make and can be served as a starter or with the main meal. 

Ingredients:

1. Boneless fish fingers- 1/2 kg
2. Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tbsp
3. Coriander powder- 1 tbsp
4. Egg- 1
5. Corn flour- 3 tbsp
6. Salt- as needed
7. Gram flour- 1/2 tbsp
8. Carom seeds/Ayamodagam/Ajwain- 1/4 tsp
9. Lime juice- 1 tbsp
10. Red chilli flakes- 3/4 tbsp
11. Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
12. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
13. Oil- for frying

Wash fish pieces and wipe with a dry towel. 

In a large mixing bowl, mix ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, egg, corn flour, salt, gram flour, ajwain, lime juice, chilli flakes, chilli powder and turmeric powder. Add fish pieces and let it marinate for 1 hour.

Heat oil. Fry marinated fish pieces until done or till it turns light golden.

Serve hot.
