Lahori Pakora


LAHORI PAKORA




Fried and crisp snack made with mixed vegetables and gram flour. It is a common snack during Ramadan. 

Ingredients:

1. Gram flour- 1 1/2 cups
2. Baking powder- 1 tsp
3. Salt- as needed
4. Curd- 1 tbsp
5. Potato- 1; cut into sticks
6. Green chilli- 2
7. Chopped spinach- 1/2 cup
8. Sliced onion- 1
9. Red chilli flakes- 1 tbsp
10. Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
11. Coriander powder- 1 tsp
12. Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
13. Chaat masala- 1 tsp
14. Coriander leaves- 1/4 cup
15. Oil- for frying

In a large mixing bowl, mix gram flour, baking powder, salt, curd, potato, green chilli, spinach, onion, chilli flakes, cumin, coriander powder, garam masala, chaat masala and coriander leaves. Add little water and make a thick batter.

Heat oil. Put spoonful of the batter into hot oil and fry till golden. Drain on an absorbent paper.

Serve hot with tomato sauce.
