Oats Rumali Roti


OATS RUMALI ROTI




Rumali roti is a thin flat bread which is very popular in India and Pakistan. This recipe is a rumali roti made with oats and wheat flour to make it more healthy. It is soft and delicious.

Ingredients:

1. Wheat flour / Atta- 1 cup
2. Oats- 1/2 cup
3. Curd- 1 tbsp
4. Olive oil- 1 tbsp
5. Salt- as needed
6. Warm water- for kneading dough
7. Ghee- as required

In a large mixing bowl, mix wheat flour, oats, curd, olive oil and salt. Pour warm water and knead into a soft and smooth dough. Make medium sized balls. 

Take a ball and flatten into a round roti. Spread a tsp of ghee on top and cover it with another flattened roti. Roll it together into maximum size and as thin as possible.

Heat a tava. Cook it on both sides till done. Once cooked you can separate both rotis from each other. 

Serve hot with any curry of your choice.
