Tomato Masala


TOMATO MASALA


Spicy, tangy curry with the goodness of fresh tomatoes. It is a perfect combination with any flat breads. It is simple and delicious.

Ingredients:

1. Tomato- 3
2. Oil- 1 tbsp
3. Mustard- 1 tsp
4. Onion- 3
5. Green chilli- 2
6. Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
7. Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
8. Tomato sauce- 2 tbsp
9. Soy sauce- 1 tsp
10. Salt- as needed

Cut tomatoes into round slices.

Heat oil in a pan. Splutter mustard. Add onion and green chilli. Saute till wilted. Add tomato and saute really well. When tomatoes are cooked through, mix chilli powder and garam masala. Saute for 1 minute and mix tomato sauce, soy sauce and salt. Add 1 to 2 tbsp of water and cook closed for 2 minutes. Open lid and cook to the right consistency.

Serve hot as a side dish.


Notes:

You can also try to make this curry really dry by roasting for more time.
