Pepper Fish Curry


PEPPER FISH CURRY




A flavorful and elegant blend of peppercorns, shallots and coconut milk. A great side dish for rice, chapathi etc.

Ingredients:

1. Fish- 1/2 kg
2. Shallots- 10
3. Garlic- 6
4. Green chilli- 3
5. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
6. Peppercorns- 2 tbsp
7. Kudampuli / malabar tamarind- 2
8. Water- 1 cup
9. Curry leaves- 1 spring
10. Salt- as needed
11. Thick coconut milk- 1/2 cup

Grind shallots, garlic, green chilli, turmeric powder and peppercorns.

In a pan, mix fish, ground masala, salt, kudampuli and 1 cup of water. Place it on stove top and cook well. Once the fish is cooked through, add curry leaves and coconut milk. Mix well. Cook for 5 minutes and switch off the flame.

Serve hot.
