Green Peas Capsicum Stir Fry
GREEN PEAS CAPSICUM STIR FRY
This is an easy to make, tasty side dish for roti or rice. The flavors of green peas and capsicum mingle well in this curry, making it delicious.
Ingredients:
1. Cooked green peas- 2 cup
2. Capsicum- 1
3. Oil- 1 tbsp
4. Asafoetida / kayam- 1/8 tsp
5. Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
6. Ginger- 1/2 tbsp
7. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
8. Salt- as needed
9. Coriander powder- 1 tbsp
10. Chilli powder- 1 tsp
11. Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
12. Dry mango powder- 1/8 tsp
13. Water- 2 tbsp
Chop capsicum into small cubes.
Heat oil in a pan. Roast kayam, ginger and cumin. Add green peas, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala and dry mango powder. Mix well and saute for 2 minutes. Add capsicum and 2 tbsp of water. Mix well and cook closed in low flame for 5 minutes. Open and cook till the curry becomes dry.
Serve hot with roti or rice.
