Coconut / Thenga Chammanthi
THENGA CHAMMANTHI
A delicious and easy chammanthi with coconut and other few ingredients. It taste best when served with porridge.
Ingredients:
1. Grated coconut- 1 1/2 cup
2. Garlic- 1
3. Shallots- 3
4. Red chilli- 3
5. Curry leaves- 1 spring
6. Ginger- 1/2 inch piece
7. Tamarind- 1 tsp
8. Salt- as needed
9. Coconut oil- 1/2 tbsp
Grind coconut, garlic, shallots, red chilli, curry leaves, ginger, tamarind and salt into a fine paste. Add 1 tbsp water while grinding. Transfer chammanthi into a bowl and mix coconut oil.
Serve with rice porridge, meals etc.
