Beef Cutlet


BEEF CUTLET




Beef cutlet is an all time crowd favorite and it taste delicious beyond words. This recipe is a Kerala style beef cutlet.

Ingredients:

1. Beef cubes- 800 grams
2. Chilli powder- 1 tsp
3. Salt- as needed
4. Coconut oil- 2 tbsp
5. Chopped onion- 2
6. Chopped ginger- 1 1/2 tbsp
7. Chopped garlic- 1 1/2 tbsp
8. Curry leaves- 1 spring
9. Chopped green chilli- 8 to 9
10. Pepper powder- 1 1/2 tsp
11. Potato- 4
12. Bread crumbs- 1 cup
13. Egg- 2
14. Oil- for frying

Mix beef with chilli powder and salt. Cook in a pressure cooker until done. Drain and remove the stock. Mince the cooked beef well and keep it aside.

Cook potato and mash it.

Heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil. Add onion,  garlic, ginger, green chilli and curry leaves. Saute till it changes its color. Add minced beef and fry it till it becomes slightly crispy. Mix pepper powder and adjust seasoning. Add mashed potato and mix well. Switch off the flame and make round or oval shaped cutlets.

Whisk eggs in a bowl.

Dip each cutlet in egg and roll it in bread crumbs.

Heat oil. Deep fry each cutlet till brown in medium heat.

Serve hot.
