Soya Paratha
SOYA PARATHA
Parathas stuffed with soya keema and spices are not only scrumptious to eat but are also full of protein. Soya paratha is a very easy to make and its a tasty recipe.
Ingredients:
1. Soya chunks- 3/4 cup
2. Oil- 2 tsp
3. Chopped onion- 1; small
4. Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
5. Fennel powder- 1 tsp
6. Chilli powder- 1 tsp
7. Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
8. Garam masala- 1 tsp
9. Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp
10. Salt- as needed
11. Milk- 1 tbsp
12. Wheat flour- 1 1/2 cup
13. Ghee / Butter- as required
Soak soya chunks in water for 30 minutes. Squeeze out the water and grind into a fine powder. Keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan. Saute onion and ginger garlic paste till golden brown. Mix fennel powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Add salt. Saute for 2 minutes and add milk. Mix well. Add minced soya and mix well. Cook till the masala gets well blended with the minced soya.
Take wheat flour in a large mixing bowl. Add salt. Pour enough water and knead a soft and smooth dough.
From the dough, make balls and flatten them. Stuff a good amount of the soya masala mix and flatten them again to make soya stuffed parathas.
Heat a tawa. Cook the paratha on both the sides until done. Smear ghee or butter on both the sides while cooking.
Serve hot with curd and pickle.
