Soya Manchurian
SOYA MANCHURIAN
Soya chunks manchurian is a delicious manchurian gravy dish which is protein rich item. It is a delicious Asian recipe with sweet and spicy Chinese sauce.
Ingredients:
1. Soya chunks- 20
2. All purpose flour- 3 tbsp
3. Corn flour- 3 1/2 tbsp
4. Salt- as needed
5. Pepper powder- 2 tsp
6. Oil- as needed
7. Chopped garlic- 1 tsp
8. Chopped ginger- 1 tsp
9. Onion- 2
10. Capsicum- 1
11. Green chilli- 3
12. Soy sauce- 2 tbsp
13. Chilli sauce- 1 tbsp
14. Sugar- 1 tsp
15. Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp
Soak soya chunks in water for 30 minutes and squeeze out the water well.
In a mixing bowl, add flour, 3 tbsp of corn flour, 1 tsp of pepper powder and salt. Pour water and make a medium consistency batter.
Heat oil. Dip soya chunks in the prepared batter and deep fry in hot oil till light golden. Drain and keep aside.
Cut onion and capsicum into medium sized cubes.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add ginger and garlic. Saute till it changes it color. Add onion, green chilli and capsicum. Saute for 3 minutes. Mix soy sauce and chilli sauce. Pour 1 cup of water and bring it to boil. Mix sugar and adjust seasoning. Dilute 1/2 tbsp of corn flour in 2 tbsp of water and add it to the curry. Stir well. Add fried soya chunks when the gravy starts to thicken. Mix well. The gravy should coat the soya well. Lastly, mix coriander leaves.
Serve hot as a side dish.
