Ragi / Finger Millet Idli
RAGI / FINGER MILLET IDLI
Nutritious and delicious idli made with finger millet flour. It is soft and fluffy and is a perfect dish for breakfast.
Ingredients:
1. Ragi flour- 1/2 cup
2. Urad dal / uzhunn- 1/2 cup
3. Salt- as needed
Mix ragi flour with 1 1/2 cup of water without forming any lumps.
Soak urad dal for 2 to 3 hours. Drain and grind it into a fine paste adding 1 cup of water. Mix it with ragi and keep it aside for fermenting. It will take around 8 hours for fermenting.
Mix salt and cook in an idli steamer for 10 minutes.
Serve hot with chutney.
