Peas Paratha


PEAS PARATHA




Delicious whole wheat flat bread stuffed with mashed peas filling. Peas paratha is a mildly spiced dish, healthy and filling.

Ingredients:

1. Wheat flour- 2 cups
2. Cooked green peas- 1 1/2 cup
3. Salt- as needed
4. Green chilli- 2
5. Oil- 1 tsp
6. Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
7. Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
8. Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
9. Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp

Grind green peas and green chilli together into a fine paste.

Heat oil in a pan. Splutter cumin. Add ginger garlic paste and slightly roast it. Add ground green peas and garam masala. Mix well. Adjust seasoning. Mix coriander leaves and switch off the flame. This is the filling.

Add wheat flour in a large mixing bowl. Mix adequate salt. Pour water and knead into a soft and smooth dough. Make small balls and flatten it. Between two flattened parathas stuff the filling and press the edges to seal it well. Gently roll again to evenly spread the filling between two parathas.

Heat a pan. Cook paratha on both sides until done. Smear some butter on both the sides while cooking.

Serve hot with curd and pickle.
