Kasaragod Special Dosa


KASARAGOD SPECIAL DOSA




This recipe is one of the most popular breakfast dishes in Kasaragod. It is very delicious and quite easy to make.

Ingredients:

1. White rice / Pachari- 2 cup
2. Grated coconut- 1/3 cup
3. Shallots- 3
4. Cumin- pinch
5. Cooked rice- 1/3 cup
6. Salt- as needed
7. Coconut oil- as required

Soak white rice for 4 to 5 hours. Transfer it into a blender. Grind it into a medium consistency batter along with grated coconut, shallots, cumin, cooked rice, salt and enough water.  

Heat a non stick pan. Pour a ladle full of batter and swirl pan so that the batter can flow freely to all sides. Pour a tsp of oil on top. Cook on both sides till done.

Serve hot with coconut chammanthi.
