Cauliflower Pakoda
CAULIFLOWER PAKODA
Easy and tasty tea time snack made with cauliflower. It is super crispy and delicious.
Ingredients:
1. Cauliflower- 1 small
2. Salt- as needed
3. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
4. Gram flour- 1/2 cup
5. All purpose flour- 1/2 cup
6. Corn flour- 1/4 cup
7. Ginger paste- 1 tsp
8. Garlic paste- 1 tsp
9. Ghee- 1 tbsp
10. Pepper powder- 2 tbsp
11. Oil- for frying
Soak cauliflower florets in water adding salt and turmeric powder for 20 minutes. Drain. Microwave for 5 minutes or cook in a steamer for 3 to 4 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, add gram flour, all purpose flour, corn flour, salt, ginger paste, garlic paste, ghee and pepper powder. Pour water and stir well to make a medium consistency batter.
Heat oil in a pan. Dip each florets in the prepared batter and deep fry in oil till golden. Drain.
Serve hot with ketchup.
