Tomato Green Peas Curry


TOMATO GREEN PEAS CURRY





Tomato Green Peas Curry is a quick, easy and healthy side for any Indian dishes.

Ingredients:

1. Green peas- 1 cup
2. Oil- 1 tbsp
3. Onion- 2
4. Green chilli- 1
5. Salt- as needed
6. Coriander powder- 1 1/2 tbsp
7. Chilli powder- 2 tsp
8. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
9. Garam masala- 3/4 tsp
10. Chopped tomato- 3
11. Thick coconut milk- 1/2 cup
12. Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp

Soak green peas for 6 to 7 hours.  Adding enough water and salt, cook the peas in a pressure cooker.

Heat oil in a pan. Saute onion and green chilli till wilted. Mix chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Saute for 1 minute. Add tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes. Make sure tomatoes dont turn mushy or get over cooked. Add green peas and mix well. Pour 1/4 cup of water and bring it to boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Lastly, pour coconut milk. Adjust seasoning. Switch off the flame when its about to boil and garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot.
