Soya Kebab


SOYA KEBAB




Absolutely delicious recipe for vegetarians. Soya Kebabs are easy and simple to make. This kebab is filled with nutrients and would be a perfect vegetarian starter.

Ingredients:

1. Soya chunks- 1/2 cup
2. Salt- as needed
3. Cooked potato- 1
4. Cooked green peas- 1/2 cup
5. Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
6. Chopped ginger- 1 tsp
7. Chopped green chilli- 1 tsp
8. Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
9. Cumin powder- 1/4 tsp
10. Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp
11. Bread crumbs- 1/3 cup
12. Oil- as required

Soak soya chunks in water for 30 minutes. Squeeze out the water and grind it into a coarse powder. Transfer it into a mixing bowl. 

Add mashed potato, green peas, salt, green chilli, pepper powder, garam masala, ginger, cumin powder and coriander leaves into the minced soya. Mix all the ingredients well. Add bread crumbs and and mix well. 

Take a small portion of the soya mixture and make cylinder shapes to make kebabs. Brush each kebab with some oil and keep aside.

Heat some oil in a pan just enough to shallow fry the kebabs. Cook the kebabs on medium heat by rolling on all sides until light golden all around.

Serve hot with ketchup.
