Pound Cake


POUND CAKE




A dense, moist, vanilla pound cake with a fine crumb is an all time favorite for any occasions.

Ingredients:

1. All purpose flour- 1 1/2 cup
2. Milk- 3 tbsp
3. Egg- 3
4. Vanilla essence- 1 1/2 tsp
5. Sugar- 3/4 cup
6. Baking powder- 3/4 tsp
7. Salt- 1/4 tsp
8. Butter- 13 tbsp

Mix flour, sugar,  salt and baking powder.

Preheat oven @ 180 C.

Add milk, eggs, vanilla essence to a blender and slightly beat it. Add butter and blend well. Add half of the flour mix and beat for 20 seconds. Add rest of the flour and beat for 20 seconds or just enough to fold it well. 

Pour into a greased loaf pan. Smooth the surface and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Once its baked, cool the cake on a wire rack for 10 minutes before inverting it.
