Macaroni Payasam / Kheer
MACARONI PAYASAM / KHEER
Macaroni Payasam is a delicious dessert made from Macaroni and Milk. This lip smacking Kheer is very easy to make and a unique one too.
Ingredients:
1. Macaroni- 1 cup
2. Water- as needed
3. Milk- 1 litre
4. Sugar- according to your taste
5. Cardamon powder- 1 tsp
6. Cashew nuts and Raisins- 1 tbsp each
7. Ghee- 1 tbsp
Cook Macaroni as per the instructions on the packet. When you cook it, instead of salt add 2 tsp of sugar in the water and cook it. Do not over cook the Macaroni. Drain and keep aside.
Mix sugar according to your taste in the Milk. Boil Milk. Add Macaroni when it starts boiling. Cook in medium flame stirring continuously till the milk thickens. Add Cardamon powder and mix well. Cook to the right consistency and switch off the flame.
Heat Ghee. Roast Cashew nuts and Raisins separately. Pour it into the Payasam and stir well.
Serve hot.
