Bread Murukku
BREAD MURUKKU
Bread murukku is a quick and easy snack made with bread and gram flour. It is delicious even when served with a cup of black tea.
Ingredients:
1. Gram flour- 1/2 cup
2. Bread- 5 slices
3. Rice flour- 1/4 cup
4. Chilli powder- 1/4 tsp
5. Asafoetida- pinch
6. Salt- as needed
7. Oil- for frying

Remove four sides of the bread. Blend bread slices into a fine powder and transfer into a mixing bowl.
Into the powdered bread, add gram flour, rice flour, chilli powder, salt and asafoetida. Mix well. Pour enough water and knead it into a soft and smooth dough. Take a portion of it and fill it inside the murukku maker.
Heat oil. Press or squeeze the murukku maker into the oil and fry them till golden. Once cooked, remove with a slotted ladle and drain excess oil.
Bread murukku are ready. Enjoy with your evening tea or coffee.
