Apple pacahdi
APPLE PACHADI
Apple Pachadi is a delicious South Indian side dish served with Rice. It has a sweet and tangy taste.
Ingredients:
1. Apple- 1 (preferably Green Apple)
2. Green Chilli- 3
3. Curry leaves- 1 spring
4. Curd- 1 1/2 cup
5. Mustard- 1 1/4 tsp
6. Grated Coconut- 3/4 cup
7. Coconut oil- 1 tbsp
8. Red Chilli- 2
9. Salt- as required
10. Water- as needed
Peel and chop Apple into small cubes.
Grind Coconut, Curd, 1/4 tsp Mustard and 1 Green Chilli into a paste.
In a pan, cook Apple, curry leaves and 2 Green Chilli adding some water. Once the Apple is cooked through, pour the ground paste and stir well. Adjust salt. Do not boil. Switch off the flame when its about to boil.
Heat Coconut oil. Splutter 1 tsp Mustard. Roast Red Chilli. Pour this over the Pachadi and mix well.
Serve warm with Rice.
