Yang Chow Fried Rice


YANG CHOW FRIED RICE




Yang Chow Fried Rice is a popular Chinese rice dish which is flavorful and very easy to make. What makes it different from other Chinese fried rice is that it has no Soy sauce in it. 

Ingredients:

1. Cooked Biriyani Rice- 2 cup
2. Oil- 2 tbsp
3. Red Chilli- 8
4. Chicken breast- 1
5. Chopped Garlic- 1 tsp
6. Egg- 1
7. Carrot chopped into small cubes- 1/4 cup
8. Cabbage- 1/4 cup
9. Pepper powder- 1/2 tbsp
10. Salt- as required
11. Spring Onion- 1/8 cup
12. Sugar- 1/2 tsp

Cut Chicken into thin long pieces and cook them. Keep aside.

Make scrambled Eggs.

Heat 1 tbsp oil. Roast Red Chillies. Grind the roasted Red Chilles into a paste. Keep aside the oil used for frying the chillies.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil. Saute Garlic well. Add Carrot and Cabbage. Saute it for 2 minutes. Mix Chicken, scrambled Egg, Pepper powder, salt and sugar. Add red Chilli paste and mix well. Add Rice and toss well. Pour the oil used for frying chilles on top. This adds a nice color to the rice. Mix Spring Onion.  Let it sit in low flame for 5 minutes and turn off the flame.

Serve hot with any side dish of your choice.
