Soya Burger


SOYA BURGER




Soya Burger is a protein rich Burger which is easy to make, kids friendly and healthy as well. It can be enjoyed as a snack or as a mini meal. 

Ingredients:

1. Soya granules- 1 cup
2. Oil- as required
3. Chopped Onion- 1
4. Chopped Green Chilli- 2
5. Red Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
6. Salt- as required
7. Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
8. Potato- 2
9. Bread crumbs- as required
10. Burger buns
11. Cheese slice
12. Tomato slices
13. Lettuce
14. Tomato ketchup
15. Egg- 1
16. Mayonnaise- optional

Boil Potatoes and mash them.

Soak Soya granules for 2 hours. Squeeze the water out and mince it.

Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan. Saute Onion and Green Chilli till Onion turns transparent. Add Chilli powder and saute for 1 minute. Mix Coriander leaves and minced Soya. Adjust salt. Saute for 3 minutes. Switch off the flame and transfer it into a mixing bowl. Add mashed Potato and 1/4 cup Bread crumbs. Mix well. Take small portion of it in your hand and shape them into burger patties.

Beat egg and keep aside.

Take each patty and firstly, dip it in the Egg. Secondly, Roll them in Bread crumbs and deep fry in oil till golden brown. 

On each Burger bun spread some ketchup. Place some lettuce followed by the patty, Cheese slice and Tomato slices. 

Serve hot.

Notes:

Heat each burger in the microwave for 40 seconds if you like your cheese slice melted and gooey.
