Oats Vada


OATS VADA



Oats Vada is a tasty snack with the goodness of Oats. When served with some Chutney and a hot steaming Tea, its just delicious.

Ingredients:

1. Oats- 1 cup
2. Rice powder- 2 tbsp
3. Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
4. Salt- as required
5. Chopped Onion- 1
6. Chopped Green Chilli- 2
7. Curry leaves- 1 spring
8. Coriander leaves- 1 tbsp
9. Chopped Ginger- 1 tsp
10. Cumin- 1/2 tsp
11. Curd- 1/2 cup
12. Oil- for frying
13. Water- if required

Powder Oats in a blender.

Mix powdered Oats, Rice powder, Pepper powder, Salt, Onion, Green Chilli, Curry leaves, Coriander leaves and Ginger. Add curd and make a thick batter. Add water only if required.

The batter will be sticky. So keep some water in a vessel to dip your hands before making each vadas.

Heat oil. Take small portion of the batter in your hand and make vada shape and fry it in oil till golden. 

Serve with any chutney of your choice.
