Nasi Goreng / Indonesian Fried Rice
NASI GORENG / INDONESIAN FRIED RICE
Nasi Goreng literally means fried rice in Indonesia and Malay. Its pretty easy and fast to make. Nasi Goreng can be enjoyed by itself or with any sides.
Ingredients:
1. White Rice / Pachari- 1 1/2 cup
2. Water- as required
3. Eggs- 3
4. Boneless Chicken cut into long thin pieces- 1 cup
5. Onion- 1
6. Garlic- 5
7. Chilli powder- 2 tsp
8. Oil- 4 tbsp
9. Soy sauce- 3 tbsp
10. Spring onion- 1/4 cup
11. Salt- as required
Cook White rice adding water and salt. Drain and keep aside.
Make Omelette with Eggs and cut them into long pieces.
Blend Onion, Garlic and Chilli power into a fine paste.
Heat oil. Add Chicken and cook them well. Mix the ground paste and saute till the raw smell disappear. Add Soy sauce and stir well. Mix cooked rice, Omelette and Spring onion.
Traditional Indonesian fried rice is ready. Serve warm with some Spring onion on top.
