Coconut Milk Murukku


COCONUT MILK MURUKKU 




Coconut Milk Murukku or Thenga Paal Murukk is a very popular traditional recipe. Its delicious with the flavors of Coconut milk. Coconut milk murukku is a very common evening snack of Tamil Nadu.

Ingredients:

1. Roasted Rice flour- 2 cup
2. Urad dal- 1/2 cup
3. Butter- 1/2 tbsp
4. Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
5. Cumin seeds- 1/2 tbsp
6. Coconut milk- as required
7. Salt- as required
8. Oil- for frying

Roast Urad dal and grind it into a fine powder. Sieve to make sure its powdered well.

Mix Rice flour, powered Urad dal, Pepper powder, Cumin and salt. Add Butter and mix well. To this add Coconut milk and roll into a soft and smooth dough. Take a small portion of it and fill it inside the Murukku maker. You can put any disc shape of your choice. 

Heat oil. Press or squeeze the murukk maker into the hot oil and fry them on both sides till light golden. Once cooked, remove with a slotted ladle and drain excess oil. 

Let it cool down a bit before serving. 

Crunchy Coconut Milk murukk are ready to be served with your tea. Enjoy!!!
