Chicken Masala Biriyani
CHICKEN MASALA BIRIYANI
One of the most simple and quick Biriyani recipe. Chicken masala flavor really stand out in this dish on every bite. This can be your favorite if you are an Indian masala lover.
Ingredients:
1. Chicken- 1 kg
2. Ghee- 2 tbsp
3. Chilli powder- 3/4 tbsp
4. Coriander powder- 3/4 tbsp
5. Garam masala- 1 tbsp
6. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
7. Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
8. Crushed Ginger- 1/2 inch
9.Crushed Garlic- 4
10. Curd- 1/4 cup
11. Dalda / Vegetable Ghee- 1 tbsp
12. Clove- 2
13. Cardamon- 2
14. Cinnamon- 1 inch
15. Onion- 4
16. Jeeragasala Rice- 2 cup
17. Boiling water- 4 cup
18. Cashew nuts and Raisins- 1 tbsp ech
19. Salt- as required
20. Coconut oil- 1 tbsp
Marinate Chicken with 1 tbsp Ghee, Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Garam masala, Turmeric powder, Pepper powder, Ginger, Garlic, Curd and salt for 1 hour.
Wash rice and drain water completely.
Heat Coconut oil and roast cashew nuts and Raisins separately. In the same left over oil, roast 1 onion till golden brown. This is for garnish.
Take a cooker. Heat 1 tbsp Ghee and Dalda together. Roast Clove, Cardamon and Cinnamon. Add 3 Onion and saute well. Add the marinated Chicken and cook well stirring often. Once the Chicken is cooked through and the gravy is dry add Rice and saute for 1 minute. Add boiling water. Adjust salt and close the cooker. Initially don't put whistle. When steam starts coming well through the steam hole, put the whistle on and turn into low flame. Cook for exact 5 minutes. Turn off gas and let it sit for 30-45 minutes.
Once you open cooker, mix well adding roasted Nuts ans Raisins. Garnish with roasted Onion.
Flavorsome Chicken Masala Biriyani is ready. Serve with Raita, Papad and Chammanthi.
