Chicken Drumstick Masala


CHICKEN DRUMSTICK MASALA




Chicken Drumstick masala is a very delicious side for rice and chapati or roti. 

Its aroma takes you back to the taste of home and its spiciness reminds you the true flavors of Kerala.  

Ingredients:

1. Chicken Drumsticks- 5
2. Ginger Garlic paste- 2 tbsp
3. Kashmiri Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
4. Chilli powder- 1 tbsp
5. Lime juice- 1 tbsp
6. Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
7. Shallots- 10
8. Red Chilli- 5
9. Tomato- 1
10. Ginger- 1/2 tbsp
11. Garlic- 1/2 tbsp
12. Chopped Onion- 1
13. Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
14. Sugar- 1/2 tsp
15. Oil- As required
16. Salt- As required
17. Coriander leaves- 3 tbsp
18. Water- 1/2 cup

Marinate Chicken with Ginger Garlic paste, Kashmiri Chilli powder, Chilli powder, Lime juice, Turmeric powder and salt for at least 2 hours and later fry them well in oil.

Grind Shallots, Red Chilli, Ginger, Garlic, Tomato, 2 tbsp of Coriander leaves to a fine paste. 

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Saute Onion till it becomes transparent. Add the masala paste and saute for 1 minute. To this add fried Chicken, garam masala and water. Mix well. Let it boil. Add Sugar and adjust salt. Cook till its almost dry and the masala should be well coated on the Chicken pieces. Garnish with Coriander leaves.
