Cabbage Ularthiyath / Cabbage Stir Fry
CABBAGE ULARTHIYATH / CABBAGE STIR FRY
This is different from Cabbage thoran as it doesn't use grated Coconut. Cabbage Ularthiyath is also known as Cabbage Mezhkkupuratti, Cabbage Upperi and Cabbage Poriyal in Tamil Nadu. It is an excellent side for Rice and its very easy to make.
Ingredients:
1. Chopped Cabbage- 3 cup
2. Onion- 1
3. Coconut oil- 1 tbsp
4. Mustard- 1 tsp
5. Urad dal- 1 tsp
6. Green Chilli- 2
7. Curry leaves- 1 spring
8. Salt- as required
Heat oil in a pan. Splutter Mustard. Roast Urad dal. Add Cabbage, Onion, Green Chilli, Curry leaves and Salt. Stir well. Cook closed on low flame stirring occasionally till its cooked well. Once its cooked, increase the flame to high and cook without the lid till it becomes dry. Stir well.
Serve this delicious dish with Rice.
