Broken Wheat Upma
BROKEN WHEAT UPMA
Broken Wheat or Cracked Wheat Upma is a very healthy and nutritious way to start your day. It is highly rich in fiber and best choice for those who are health conscious.
Ingredients:
1. Broken Wheat / Cracked Wheat- 2 cup
2. Water- 4 cup
3. Salt- as required
4. Coconut oil- 1 tbsp
5. Mustard- 1 tsp
6. Onion- 1
7. Carrot- 1
8. Chopped Garlic- 4
9. Chopped Ginger- 1 inch
10. Green Chilli- 4
11. Ghee- 2 tsp
12. Curry leaves- 1 spring
Cook Broken Wheat adding 4 cups of water and salt in a cooker for 3 whistles.
Heat oil. Splutter Mustard. Saute Onion, Carrot, Garlic, Ginger, Green chilli and Curry leaves. Add cooked Broken Wheat and Ghee. Mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
Nutritious Upma is ready in no time. Enjoy!!!
